Senso: Cautiously paced research of human feelings, chronicling the relation between earthy, materialistic Austrian officer Granger and his aristocratic Italian mistress (Valli). The film is an enthralling union of the neo realism of Visconti's earlier work and the lush romanticism often discovered in his later films. Cast includes Alida Valli, Farley Granger, Massimo Girotti, and Heinz Moog. (115 minutes,'54)

The Front: Bull's eye comedy with heavy topic. Allen is a ?front? registered by blacklisted authors to set his name on their scripts throughout'50s communist witch hunt, leading to assorted problems. Cast includes Woody Allen, Nil Mostel, Herschel Bernardi, Michael Murphy, Andrea Marcovicci, Remak Ramsay, Joshua Shelley, Lloyd Gough, and Danny Aiello. (94 minutes,'76)

The Last Seduction: A pathologically malevolent and stunningly sensual female ditches her spouse, snatches the money he's made in a drug deal, and escapes N.Y. to a tiny upstate town where she allures and bewilders a local gentleman who becomes her latest patsy. Fiorentino's spicy femme fatale makes Stanwyck in Triple Indemnity look like Snow White! The movie is a scorching, seductive thriller from contemporary film noir master Dahl and author Steve Barancik. Cast includes Linda Fiorentino, Peter Berg, J. T. Walsh, Bill Nunn, Bill Pullman, Michael Raysses, and Zach Phifer. (110 minutes,'94)

Alien Nation: In the near future, a race of strange-looking aliens is gradually (and grudgingly) being integrated into civilization. Cast includes James Caan, Mandy Patinkin, Terence Stamp, Kevin Chief Howard, and Leslie Bevins. (94 minutes,'88)

They Won't Forget: A thrilling drama that starts with a pretty high school girl being killed in Southern town. No punches are held in this still commanding film. Lana Turner plays the unlucky gal, in her first big role. Cast includes Claude Pours, Gloria Dickson, Otto Kruger, Allyn Joslyn, Elisha Chef, Jr., and Edward Norris. (95 minutes,'37)

The Big Trail: This mythical Western might appear creaky to some watchers, although it continues to be considered one of the most impressive early talkies. John Wayne was "found" for featuring role, and already shows his laid back charm. Cast includes John Wayne, Marguerite Churchill, El Brendel, Tully Marshall, Tyrone Power, Sr., David Rollins, and Ian Keith. (110 minutes,'30)

Iron Eagle: This is a comic magazine film in regards to an eighteen-year-old who commandeers an F sixteen aircraft and soars to the Middle East (playing rock music on his Walkman all the way) on a quest to recover his dad, who's been taken hostage. Scott, Caroline Lagerfelt, and Jerry Levine. (119 minutes,'86) .
