The following paragraphs contain some nice movie reviews. In this paragraph I will give you some search terms to reach movie down load sites. A good movie download search would use phrases such as "Unlimited DVD Rental", "Music Videos To Download", and "Online DVD Rentals".

Lawrence of Arabia: A blockbuster biography of enigmatic adventurer T. E. Lawrence is that rarity, an epic film that is additionally proficient. It loses some steam in the second half, however is still a knockout, particularly in'89 reissue rendition, which repaired numerous cuts made over the years. Cast includes Peter O'Toole, Alec Guinness, Anthony Quinn, Jack Hawkins, Claude Pours, Anthony Quayle, Arthur Kennedy, Omar Sharif, and Jose Ferrer. (216 minutes,'62)

Man of a Thousand Faces: A surprisingly devoted, well acted biography of megastar Lon Chaney. Cagney as Chaney, Malane as upset first spouse, and Greer as a spouse who brings him cheerfulness, all perform well. Cast includes James Cagney, Darothy Malane, Jane Greer, Marjorie Rambeau, Jim Backus, Jeanne Cagney, Rabert J. Evans, Jack Albertsan, and Rebuff Pallard. (122 minutes,'57)

La Petit Lili: A family's country house is charged with sentiment while the hotheaded child, a yearning film maker actor, finds that his lady friend is captivated with his mom's boyfriend, a triumphant head of mainstream films. Brilliant film empowered by Chekhov's The Seagull, investigating the line between art and life, and how the 2 influence each other. Cast includes Nicole Garcia, Bernard Giraudeau, Jean-Pierre Marielle, Ludivine Sagnier, Robinson Steveniu, Julie Depardieu, Yves Jacques, and Michel Piccoli. (104 minutes, 2003)

The Little Thief: So-so personality picture of the title lass, a disassociated, amoral adolescent floating through life in postwar France. If she comes off as a girl Antoine Doinel, it's since the original tale was co-written by Francois Truffuut, who was allegedly preparing to film this at the time of his demise. Cast includes Charlotte Gainsbourg, Didier Bezace, Simon de la Brosse, Nathalie Cardone, and Raoul Billerey. (104 minutes,'89)

The Plough and the Stars: This is a boring, theatrical style film of a Sean O?Casey play with Foster as Irish a revolutionary leader and Stanwyck as his long-agonizing spouse who prays for his life. Cast includes Barbara Stanwyck, Preston Foster, Barry Fitzgerald, Una O'Connor, Bonita Granville, and Arthur Guards. (78 minutes,'36)

Slave Girls: The all too glamorous Andress is seized by locals and painted in arrangement for sacrifice in a scene essentially equivalent to that prompted by ex-spouse John Derek for current spouse Bo years later in Tarzan, The Ape Man. Cast includes Ursula Andress, Stacy Keach, Claudio Cassinelli, Antonio Marsina, and Franco Fantasia. (93 minutes,'78)

Barfly: A surprisingly entertaining portrayal of L.A. lowlife, and boozy, recklessly macho author Henry Chinaski, played with bravado by Rourke. Dunaway is magnificent as his alcoholic soul mate. Based on the autobiographical writings of cult top choice Charles Bukowski, who might be noticed on one of the bar stools. Cast includes Mickey Rourke, Faye Dunaway, Alice Krige, Jack Nance, J.C. Quinn, and Frank Stallone. (97 minutes,'87)

Sidewalks of New York: A light hearted comedy in regards to the romantic entanglements of a group of New Yorkers. The film has an unmistakable Woody Allen type feel, although Burns' script is no match for Allen. Cast includes Edward Bums, Rosario Dawson, Heather Graham, Stanley Tucci, David Krumholtz, Dennis Farina, Brittany Murphy, Callie Thome, and Aida Turturro. (107 minutes, 2001)

The Last Temptation of Christ: An imaginative and inciting film from Nikos Kazantzakis' novel which presumes in regards to Jesus' self-questions when he realizes that he has been selected by The Lord to tote His message. Moments of incredible beauty are reduced somehow by mundane discussion and dull scenes. Cast includes William Dafoe, Harvey Keitel, Barbara Hershey, Harry Dean Stanton, David Bowie, Vema Bloom, Andre Gregory, Juliette Caton, Roberts Blossom, Irvin Kershner, Nehemiah Persoff, and Barry Miller. Training in Computer Support - Update

By Jason Kendall

Congratulate yourself that you're on the right track! A fraction of the population enjoy their work and find it stimulating, but vast numbers simply moan about it and take no action. Because you've done research we have a hunch that you're at least considering retraining, so you've already stood out from the crowd. Take your time now to research and follow-through.

When considering retraining, it's vital to first define your requirements from the position you'd like to train for. You need to know that things would be a lot better before much time and effort is spent re-directing your life. It's good sense to regard the big picture first, to make an informed decision:

* Is having company at work important to you? Are you better with new people or those you know well? Or you may prefer task-orientated work that you can complete alone?

* Do you have a preference which market sector you would be suited to? (In this economy, it's essential to choose well.)

* Would you like this to be the last time you'll have to retrain?

* Would you like your study to be in an industry where you believe your chances of gainful employment are high until retirement?

We would advise that you consider Information Technology - it's well known that it is one of the few growth sectors. It's not all nerdy people looking at computer screens constantly - naturally some IT jobs demand that, but the majority of roles are carried out by people like you and me who get on very well.

Finding your first job in the industry is often made easier with a Job Placement Assistance program. At the end of the day it isn't so complicated as you might think to land a job - as long as you're correctly trained and certified; the shortage of IT personnel in Britain looks after that.

Having said that, it's important to have help and assistance with preparing a CV and getting interviews though; also we would encourage any student to get their CV updated right at the beginning of their training - don't put it off till you've finished your exams.

Getting your CV considered is more than not being known. A surprising amount of junior positions are bagged by trainees (sometimes when they've only just got going.)

If you don't want to travel too far to work, then you'll often find that a local (but specialised) recruitment consultancy may serve you better than the trainer's recruitment division, for they're going to be familiar with local employment needs.

A big frustration for a number of training providers is how much people are focused on studying to get top marks in their exams, but how un-prepared they are to work on getting the role they've acquired skills for. Get out there and hustle - you might find it's fun.

Don't get hung-up, as many people do, on the certification itself. Training is not an end in itself; you should be geared towards the actual job at the end of it. You need to remain focused on where you want to go.

Students often train for a single year but end up performing the job-role for decades. Don't make the mistake of choosing what sounds like an 'interesting' training program only to spend 20 years doing a job you hate!

You must also consider your feelings on earning potential, career development, plus your level of ambition. It makes sense to understand what (if any) sacrifices you'll need to make for a particular role, what exams are required and where you'll pick-up experience from.

Talk to an experienced industry advisor who understands the work you're contemplating, and who can give you a detailed run-down of what you actually do in that role. Getting all these things right well before beginning a training course makes a lot of sense, doesn't it?

Starting with the idea that we have to locate the market that sounds most inviting first and foremost, before we're able to chew over what method of training would meet that requirement, how do we decide on the right path?

How can we possibly grasp the tasks faced daily in an IT career if we've never been there? Often we have never met anyone who performs the role either.

Consideration of the following issues is most definitely required when you want to reveal the right answers:

* Personality plays an important role - what things get your juices flowing, and what are the areas that really turn you off.

* Why you're looking at starting in Information Technology - it could be you're looking to overcome a particular goal such as working for yourself maybe.

* Does salary have a higher place on your priority-scale than some other areas.

* Learning what the main work types and markets are - plus how they're different to each other.

* It's wise to spend some time thinking about the level of commitment you'll put into your training.

The best way to avoid the industry jargon, and discover what'll really work for you, have an informal meeting with an advisor with years of experience; someone who understands the commercial reality whilst covering all the qualifications.

You have to be sure that all your exams are current and what employers are looking for - you're wasting your time with programmes which provide certificates that are worthless because they're 'in-house'.

Unless your qualification is issued by a company like Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco or Adobe, then it's likely it will be commercially useless - because it won't give an employer any directly-useable skills.

Homeowner Tips for Saving Money on Energy Use - Insulation and Windows

By Jim Navary

Insulation

The essential areas in your home that should be well insulated are the walls, floors and attic. Here are a few tips to help you get your insulation project under way:

* Does your home need more insulation material? Generally, if you have less than three or four inches of insulation in the attic, it would be a good idea add extra insulating material to achieve the correct levels. If you discover that there is no insulation in the walls and/or floors, insulation is definitely recommended.

* First, you will have to decide whether you want to complete the insulation work yourself or to use a professional instead. Keep in mind that some insulation work is quite a bit harder than other home improvement projects.

* If you would rather have a contractor handle the job, be sure to get several bids. Only hire a bonded and properly certified professional.

* If you take on the job as a DIY project, follow installation instructions precisely and adhere to appropriate safety precautions.

* When buying insulating material, pay attention to the R-value. It specifies the efficiency of insulation. The larger the R-value the more effective the insulation.

* Choose the type of insulating material you should use. There are numerous insulation materials available including fiberglass, cellulose, mineral wool/rock wool, rigid insulation and sprayed foam. The type of material will largely depend on the area of the home you are insulating. You can ask a knowledgeable salesperson to help establish the best type of insulating material and R-value you need.

Windows

Rating windows insulation value is measured by the U-value. This numeric value shows the window's insulating ability. The lower the number, the more efficient the window is at stopping the transfer of heat. The U-value of a window is based on such factors as the number of glass panes, the thickness of air space between the panes or layers and the type of window frame. A few tips include:

* Inspect windows for cracks, broken frames and seals, decayed wood, missing putty, poorly fitting sashes, and drafts.

* For a quick but temporary fix before wintry weather arrives, you can buy storm-window kits made of plastic film that you apply to the interior of your windows. These kits are available at most home improvement stores for $5 to $10 for each window. They typically last from two to four years.

* You can diminish the loss of heat through windows by installing heavy curtains or drapes on the window's interior. This will help retain heat during the winter and reduce radiant heat during the dog days of summer.

* In the winter retract the curtains during hours of sunlight to allow natural heating, and, during the summer block the sun with your curtains or add an ultraviolet film to help keep the heat out.

* During the summer, when possible, open several windows at night and in the early hours of the morning when there is a breeze. Opening a window on each side of the house will improve the circulation of air and provide better cooling.

Caulking & Weather-stripping

In addition to poor insulation, air leaks are amongst the leading causes of energy loss in homes.

* Examine your home for hidden air leaks by using a damp hand or candle flame to locate air leaks. Shut all doors, windows and fireplace flues and switch off all ventilating fans to make the air movement easier to locate.

* Caulk is best used on openings that are smaller than 1/4" wide. If possible, use caulking that will remain pliable over a long period of years. If it will be visible, choose a colored caulk or one that can be painted.

* If there are sizeable gaps and holes shielded from light and water, utilize expanding foam sealers to fill them. However, please buy only materials labeled as ozone safe.

* Backer rod or crack filler, is a pliable foam product sold in long coils, with a number of different available diameters. It comes in handy when sealing large gaps. It also can provide backing in deep gaps that are to be topped off with standard caulk.

* Place insulation behind electric outlets and wall switches - openings that are often unnoticed.

Transport Dog Crates and Stylish Pet Carriers

By Geraldine Dimarco

An alarming number of dogs and other pets become injured, lost, or even die on board an airplane when traveling in transport dog crates. Compared to the number of successful animals transported from one location to another via the airlines, this number is low. But dog enthusiasts and breeders routinely fly their dogs in transport dog crates or pet travel carriers without having any trouble at all. The airlines claim to make every effort possible that dogs that travel on-board will be perfectly safe.

Even though thousands of pets are safely transported via rail or air every year, this is not a signal to pet owners that they can become complacent if they need to travel with their pet, or send their pet via dog transport methods alone. Think how you would feel if disaster struck while your dog was traveling, and you had not properly prepared for the dog transportation.

The number one suggestion to all pet owners is to completely avoid sending your dog traveling in an airplane unless it is absolutely necessary. Many veterinarians and humane organizations are constantly reporting about dog injuries from air travel due to dogs which desperately attempt to claw its way out of the crate in order to escape. Some of them actually do escape and become injured in the cargo bay. Travel pet carriers have a much better track record, simple because they are by nature smaller, and pets in travel pet carriers usually travel in the passenger compartment under your seat.

The most important precautionary measure to take for the safety of your dog, if you do decide that the only dog transport available is to fly your dog, is to take him to the vet for a complete checkup to avoid complicating a pre-existing medical condition.

As far as comfort for your dog goes, do your best to select a flight that is either during the early morning hours or early evening time. These are the best times during the day in which your dog will experience the most comfortable of temperatures. Avoid flying your pet during extreme weather climates that are too hot or too cold. Remember, he will be stuffed down in the cargo area.

Puppies, in particular, are likely to suffer from stress or anxiety if put into transport dog crates in the cargo area of the plane. Unless your puppy is already very large, it is really important to ensure that if flying is your only option, that you will be permitted to bring him with you in the passenger compartment.

Dogs of any age can suffer from separation anxiety, and some are much more prone to this than others. If your dog has ever shown signs of separation anxiety in any situation, you can be fairly certain that such a condition will be exacerbated if he is locked into a transport dog crate and left alone in the cargo section of the plane.

Separation anxiety is a real condition that should not be overlooked. It is estimated that almost 20% of all dogs suffer at some level from separation anxiety. These personality types make very poor candidates for dog transport by airplane, unless they can travel in the passenger cabin with you (which medium and large dogs obviously cannot). Such dogs should not be left alone and when their condition reaches elevated levels, it is not uncommon for a dog to literally chew through a metal cage in the attempt of trying to escape, causing severe injuries that can cause the dog to bleed to death. It may be possible to treat your dog with natural anxiety remedies, or you may even want to talk to your vet about a sedative if you think your dog will react badly to being transported.

Steelers Continue Dominance Of Browns

By Ross Everett

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been playing the Cleveland Browns for longer than any other team in the National Football League, dating back to'50. And while it hasn't been quite that long since the Cleveland Browns won a game against the Steelers it may be starting to feel like it. On Sunday, Pittsburgh won for the twelfth straight time dating back to 2003 as they topped Cleveland by a final score of 27-13.

The good news for NFL betting enthusiasts who took the +13' with the Browns as a road underdog is that they managed to cover the pointspread by the slimmest of possible margins. Betting against the defending Superbowl champion is a long standing handicapping concept, and this season at least its worked like a charm-the Steelers have only covered one of their first six games. Cleveland, meanwhile, evened their NFL pointspread record at 3-3 on the season. The Browns have covered three straight after dropping their first three both straight up and against the spread. The 40 combined points went OVER the posted total of 37'.

Pittsburgh dominated the game in virtually every statistical category. They amassed 28 first downs to 12 for Cleveland, held a 543 to'7 total yardage advantage and a 36:46 to 23:14 time of possession advantage. Both teams turned the ball over four times, and the Steelers led only 17-14 in the third quarter. Most of the post game talk from both sides was about a controversial spot in the first half where the Steelers were given a first down on a short yardage play when it appeared that they didn't make the required yardage.

After the contest, Derek Anderson spoke of the frustration of continually coming up short against the Steelers. The Browns have only one once in ten games since Pittsburgh moved into their new home at Heinz Field:

"We're not trying to lose every time we go out here. We put tons of hours in and ... it's frustrating. Every single week, it's frustrating."

Steelers' tight end Heath Miller said the team is happy to be where they are at this point despite not playing up to their standards:

"I think we haven't played our best ball yet and that's pretty comforting. We've gotten a few wins here without playing our best."

The Steelers will host Brett Favre and the 6-0 Minnesota Vikings next Sunday. After a bye week, the Steelers will hit the road to play another undefeated team as they take on the Denver Broncos on Monday, November 9. Cleveland will host the Green Bay Packers this Sunda. They'll head to 'The Windy City' to face the Chicago Bears the following Sunday and then have a bye week.

4 Budget Friendly Ideas for Holiday Shopping

By Aaron Hu

This Christmas families are looking for simple ways to save money on Christmas Presents. This can be vital with many families experiencing strained finances. The goal is to still have a great Christmas but be able to do it on a reduced budget. This may seem challenging but there are many options that can help you have a great Christmas and still not strain your pocketbook. Here are some great suggestions that you can use this holiday season.

The first thing to do is to look at your budget and see if there is any extra money that you can put towards your holiday expenses. You should also look to see if there are any small things that you can do to earn some extra cash for presents. Even with less than two months left before Christmas don't underestimate the power of saving. Every little bit counts and can make a surprising difference when you start your holiday shopping.

Try to buy not just for this Christmas but for the next one. The big problem with many shoppers is that we often shop in the moment. We see it, we want it now regardless of whether it is a worthwhile purchase or not. If you want to make great money saving purchases you have to have a long term view. It might mean that you may not choose the most expensive item when you do your holiday shopping for this Christmas. You may wait until the after holiday sales where you can get much better savings and keep that gift for next Christmas. Actions like this will multiply the effectiveness of your spending.

Start hunting for coupon and keep an eye out for sales. The name of the game is savings when you do your holiday shopping. Look in store publications and newspapers for the dates and times for big sales this year. Also look for coupons that can add additional savings to your purchases. The new innovation this year is the internet. You can now not only do shopping online, but also find coupons that present major saving. Simply doing a Google search or posting a question on ask.com or askville.com will help you find important information that will lead you to awesome discounts.

Take advantage of clearance sales for other seasons to find great and inexpensive gifts this holiday season. For example my sister often babysits for extra money. She likes to purchase toys that will help make her job easier by giving the kids something new and interesting to play with. As a college student she doesn't make much but she knows how to take advantage of bargains. One of her charges loves Hannah Montana. So my sister saw a pop star set and a Hannah Montana Halloween costume on sale for mere dollars on clearance. She was able to get a gift on the cheap that when she gives it to the little girl she babysits will send her over the moon.

Something simple and inexpensive that you can do for your kids is to have them receive a letter from Santa. It is quite affordable and you can give your kids something that looks like it is from Santa and seems quite authentic. This will help make Christmas magical for your kids without spending a lot.

Glazing For Your Indoor Conservatories

By Matthew Kerridge

There was a time not so long ago when I sat in a conservatory and wondered how I could fully utilise it. After doing my research around my neighbourhood I realised I wasn't going anywhere. When I was beginning to lose hope I stumbled across an article on the internet that explained exactly how a conservatory can be converted into an indoor garden. The information on how to grow plants in conservatories is shared here.

Consider which plants to grow before diving straight into investing huge sums of money in specific species of plants. This is because a conservatory is an indoor structure that totally removes a plant from its natural environment. Conditions in a conservatory can be very acute indeed; it can be extremely cold in winter and really hot in summer. Think of the numerous plants you see being grown indoors such as fern and climbers.

Temperatures in a conservatory are not exactly suitable for growing certain plants. It would therefore be wise to install an air conditioning system that regulates temperatures during any time of the year. In summer you can then lower temperatures to help fight the burning heat outside whilst in winter you can warm up the place.

Regularly keep your plants well watered. You should remember that your indoor plants are not in their natural environment where a thunderstorm can suddenly revive dying plants. Ensure you keep your pot plants well watered. If keeping up with plant's drinking habits is difficult you can install a drip system of watering plants that runs to the rescue once the soil starts drying up.

If investing in air conditioners is too expensive for you you can try keeping the windows open during the day. In winter your best bet would be placing double glazing on the windows. This will provide an insulating effect that will ward off cold temperatures almost instantly.

Plants can't be pruned at will. Plants need food to support flowering and fruiting phases. Now if you prune our plants during these times you might starve your plant of food since most of it will be channelled towards the growth of new shoots. Inevitably your plant will begin to weaken. Be careful with pruning.

Growing plants in observatories is a certain way of oxygenating your house if you have a family member that suffers from asthma. The environment will be very healthy indeed and you will see yourself become more cheerful.

Gentrified Dandy: SF

By Myer Thompson

Forget the hackneyed "leaving your heart" business. There was a time when San Francisco was tough as nails and replete with sails. It was the Paris of the West, the new metropolis of Manifest Destiny. If you wanted or needed the sweet thrills of a proper city, you went to San Francisco. It was a modern, imperial city, and was the largest, most hip, port on the United States Pacific rim. There was New York, Chicago, then San Francisco.

How did the train jump its tracks, then? How did this staunch shipyard stalwart turn into a gentrified dandy? Let's start with a little jog down memory lane. The city was built in large part thanks to the influx of people and capital from the Gold Rush. They're called the 49ers for a reason, savvy? This set up the town as a port of call and a banking hub.

It faced the Great Quake of'06 head-on and watched the city burn. But, it rebuilt itself into one of the old financial centers that actually beat back the Stock Market Crash of'29. While the rest of the country was taking shelter from the Dust Bowl, San Francisco was building bridges and buildings galore.

It became one of three primary embarkation spots for boys shipping out to the Pacific theater in WWII. After the war, the city was booming with big bucks and new influx of former service men and laborers. The suburbs expanded, and downtown and the financial district were Manhattanized with a slew of skyscrapers.

You add one part development projects and one part booming local economy and you've got a recipe for massive gentrification. The influx of nearly 300,000 new residents to a seven-by-seven mile wide peninsula, and you can see how only the very wealthy can afford to live in the City By the Bay. The best most of use can hope for is booking a beautiful little bedroom in a happening San Francisco hotel.

4 Fun And Easy To Make Homemade Christmas Decorations

By Brittany Garner

Homemade Christmas decorations are some of the most unique. They are also a lot of fun because you can enjoy them with your family. Below are 4 fun and easy to make homemade Christmas decorations:

Popcorn Stringing

If you like strung popcorn, it is really simple to make. Start with a big bowl of popcorn (unbuttered, of course) and thread it piece by piece using a standard stitching needle and thread. Make certain there's plenty of popcorn because, if you are threading it for garland, you are going to need a lot.

Cranberry Stringing

Much like the popcorn threading method, numerous individuals used to thread cranberries using a regular needle and thread. Again, make sure there is enough to go around if you're going to use it as garland. Most importantly, and I know it's tempting, do not eat all the decorations. Save some for the Christmas tree.

Paper Chains

One of the greatest memories of dressing for Christmas, as a kid, has to be the conventional paper strings. Using green and red construction paper, cut flat strips of every colour. Fold them into a circle and seal with tape. Scotch tape is advocated and, if you use this when your kid is young, the smell will always prompt them of Christmas. It will credibly become "Christmas tape" to them. Once you have a complete circle, take another strip in an another colour and run it through the first circle. Next, fold it around and stamp with tape. Complete this step until you have a big strand of paper garland in red and green. You and your kid will enjoy doing this together and it will make special memories for you both.

Bright Wreath

If you like the look of a bright garland, but don't quite have a budget for one of the more overpriced ones, look at another alternative. You can buy a plain green wreath very inexpensively. A small strand of lights can cost anywhere from $1.00 to $3.00. However, put them together and you have the look of a professionally bright Christmas wreath. For this project, you could use either clear or multi-colored Christmas lights. Just take the plain green wreath and wrap the lights around in a design similar to the streaks on a candy cane. Once you have gone all the way around, gather the last light into the green of the wreath. Make sure that you put it near an electric wall socket because there won't be a lot of spare electric cord. Now that you are ready, plug it in and see your very own design. A red bow is a nice touch, but not necessary. As people drive by, they will see a beautifully lit wreath in your windowpane and they will have no idea that you saved a few dollars by wrapping the lights yourself.

Medicine Cabinets-Get The Most in Function and Style

By Myra Neuford

Consider how necessary your medicine cabinet is to your daily grooming routine.

If you have ever removed a medicine cabinet, you have probably noticed what a flat look it gives to this small room. aside from serving us in our daily grooming, a mirrored medicine cabinet adds much to the depth of a bathroom.

If you are shopping for a new medicine cabinet there are a number of things to consider.

How much space do you have for a medicine cabinet? Measure your space above your vanity, and plan where you will put vanity lighting. If the vanity lighting is from above with bathroom bar lighting it will free up more space, but you should know this is not the best lighting for applying makeup and grooming. Side lights at face level are preferred.

Medicine cabinets are available in both recessed and wall mounted models. There is more to consider with a recessed cabinet. If you are taking down a recessed cabinet you may need to expand the space, or if the new cabinet is smaller then some repair to the wall is required before mounting. Take safety precautions, and avoid disturbing wiring.

Wall mounted medicine cabinets are an easy installation, and can cover a hole left by an older and smaller recessed cabinet. Fill the space with some insulation before hanging your wall mounted cabinet.

Style is another important choice. A bathroom medicine cabinet is an important feature in your overall bathroom decor, and you will want to think how it fits in with the rest of your bathroom fixtures. You will find many attractive styles available. Medicine cabinets are offered in Art Deco, Early American, Mission, Traditional and Contemporary styles.

There are both framed and frameless medicine cabinets. This again is just a matter of personal choice. Framed cabinets come in many wood tones such as oak, cherry and walnut. color choices are also available. Black and white are two popular options.

Frameless medicine cabinets usually have multiple openings and give your bathroom a sleek and uncluttered look, and offer more mirrored space.

Also consider whether you want sliding doors on your medicine cabinet, or doors that swing open. It goes without saying, that the inside shelves should be adjustable.

Some medicine cabinets are offered with extra depth to store items as large as blow dryers out of sight. Other models offer built in electrical plugins which can be handy. Lighting embedded in the mirror itself, fogless mirrors, and some high end models even offer temperature controlled storage for medicines and cosmetics to extend shelf life.

Good hinges should be an important feature in your mirrored medicine cabinet. Mirrors are heavy and piano or scissor hinges are needed to manage the load.

If your bathroom is small, and you have a corner sink, there are also medicine cabinets in corner versions to meet this need.

Things Everyone Should Know When Buying New Health Insurance

By Angie Brown

Health insurance is insurance that offers protection in a case of unexpected medical emergencies. These medical emergencies include sudden illness, accident and so on, in which the health insurance coverage pays for the hospitalization, medical and other costs incurred

Health insurance is really a must in today's world. Trying to live with no health insurance can put you and your family at risk for a personal calamity. Health insurance as you know, it's the mistaken term, right? the real term is can't afford medical insurance. We all want health insurance since we all know at time and place in our life we're probably going to get sickly.

Personal health insurance is acceptable, but the provincial governments allow it only for services that the public health plans do not cover; for example, semi-private or private rooms in hospitals and medicine drug plans.

Health insurance is emerging as an enormous insurance product behind life insurance. For getting health insurance, a person has to pay certain amount that is called as premium to the insurance company. Health insurance is a labyrinth of choices. If you have a hard time understanding puzzling health insurance terms or are overwhelmed with all the health plan options, you're not alone. Health insurance is more closely associated with income than with employment. In 2006 - the last year for which county rates of uninsured are obtainable - as middle income went up, the Number of people without health insurance decreased.

Primarily due to the rising rate of medical care and prescription drugs. These time after time increasing premiums have forced many companies to decrease medical benefits, reduce medical benefits or require their employees to pay higher premiums and out of pocket costs on their group health insurance policies.

The canadian people are free to utilize individual insurance for elective medical services such as laser vision improvement surgery, cosmetic surgery, and other non-essential medical procedures. Private enterprise would in no way let that go down because they could not meet the cost to. In this one scam, the government was down about 10% of the Medicare total.

Tips On Event Photography

By Cindy Phang

Event photography has always been a lucrative career for the creatively inclined. An event photographer receives a good fee for using his photographic talent to take photos in various events of both formal and personal nature. People want to treasure such events and look back at them affectionately through the photographs, which is why event photography is so significant.

Event photography is a great choice for all those professional photographers who are well trained. But in order to be good at it there are a few things that must be kept in mind.

The primary aspect that you must look at is the type of event to be photographed and the objective of the pictures. For example, while capturing a corporate event, whose pictures would most probably be included in an in-house newsletter, you should try to cover the precise order of the proceedings in the event and show how the event unfolded in a comprehensive manner through your photographs. On the other hand, if you are covering a personal occasion, then it would be much wiser to concentrate on the people, especially their faces.

Having an alert mind is critical for event photography. You should be fully conscious of what is going on around you and must be able to judge when to take a photograph. Even the customers favour those photographers who can understand the things going on around them and do not have to be informed about the appropriate moment to click a picture. This is a skill which comes with experience but you have to make a continuous effort from your side.

Understanding the venue and its design will help you in capturing the event effectively. You should be aware of the spots where most of the action is going to take place and the ideal locations that would allow you to click good photos of the event.

In terms of technical aspects, always make sure that you are familiar with your camera and all its aspects, so that you can quickly click pictures from difficult angles and not miss important moments. Lighting is a crucial part of photography and an experienced event photographer should collect information about the amount of light that will be available at the venue. Accordingly, you must come ready with the right equipment and with your camera in the correct settings.

Last but not the least, an event photographer also needs to have a friendly personality. You must be friendly with the people you have to cover. If you are able to interact with the people and understand the mood of the event then the group would be more relaxed and the pictures will be much more natural.

Zhu Zhu Hamsters Top The Charts For Xmas

By Harold Peterson

Zhu Zhu pets - the gang of five motorized toy hamsters with artificial intelligence that interact with their environment and kids - are, without a doubt, the must have toy for 2009's festive season. In fact, demand is so high that Toys R Us decided not to include them in their Xmas catalog so as not to disappoint shoppers.

The Zhu Zhu hamsters are Mr. Squiggles, Num Nums, Chunk, Pipsqueak and Patches. In addition to the hamsters themselves there is a wide range of toys and accessories available which can be use in different ways and which allows the children to use their imagination.

The Zhu Zhu pets are aimed at children in the age range of 4 to 10 years old and appeal to both boys and girls. They are not suitable for very small children as they contain moving parts and batteries.

Cepia, the manufacturers, were founded in 2004 and are based in St. Louis. Since the Zhu Zhu Pets launched in August of 2009, six million units have been shipped. A further six million unit sales are anticipated between now and Christmas 2009. The hamsters are currently spending an average of less than three minutes on the shelves before being snapped up.

Prices are starting to creep up as demand outstrips supply - both for the hamsters and their accessories. You can already find these for sale on eBay. Prices are, of course, higher than retail and can be expected to rise the closer we get to Xmas.

Cepia expect to sell between $ 300 and $ 400 million of toys over the next twelve months. They intend to extend their range to include hedgehogs, rabbits, chipmunks and squirrels - all of which should have a similar appeal to children as the Zhu Zhu hamsters.

There Are A Few Of Crucial Elements In An Office Design

By Raymond Wong

The office design of a workplace is very important. This aspect of a work environment can make or break a company in how efficient the job gets completed. An office design needs to take into account a few key elements such as size of the space, company goals and employee input. These are all very important aspects in designing a perfect office space.

Office spaces and employees are all different. Drab offices are becoming a thing of the past. Employers are realizing that to be efficient companies need to keep their workers happy. Some offices are too tight, dark and sad. These are the offices that need a redesign and the office manager or owner is the place to start with determining what needs to change.

Observations of the workplace need to be the stepping stone to any office redesign project. A manager needs to ask himself if there are any areas of the office that appear to be a problem and are some areas too small for the equipment in them.

A good idea is to have the manager draw a picture of the traffic patterns within the office. Observe how employees move throughout the day. Also observe the conference rooms and workstations and see where the work is getting completed. Is there any empty space not being used?

Communication with employees is crucial to finding a design that works well. However it can also bring about employee demands that are not realistic. Work with employees to come to a compromise on the most important problems. Just remember that one office design will not please everyone. Do the best you can.

Determining office goals is a good thing to do prior to a redesign project. List four to five goals and determine which shall be addressed. An idea that has grown in importance is to move the manager to the middle of the work floor and move the workers near the windows which give them access to natural light. It has been proven that by moving the workers, it increases morale and productivity since these workers are at their desks most of the day.

After determining where the areas of concern are in a workspace, the next question is what should occur? Should a total redesign with construction take place or will just rearranging furniture and equipment suffice? Will the job be too expensive and would it be more realistic to shop around for new office space entirely?

An office design can be difficult and challenging. It takes planning, patience and initiative. A team approach and good communication with everyone from every level in the organization is important. It is worth the time investment as a happy employee will complete more work in an efficient manner. In the end your profit margin will increase and that will boost everyone's morale.

Trustworthy Swiss Army Products

By Elizabeth Scott

The Swiss army patent means a lot to those who are aware of the brand. The patent stands for confirmed quality and superior quality engineering irrespective of the nature of the product in question. Primarily the patent developed as a result of a knife which was being supplied to the Swiss Army by a man called Karl Elsner.

The Swiss army planned to patent and promote the Army Officers knife due to its multipurpose features. With time the Swiss Army officers knife found a complimentary gadget in form of an officers watch.

The two kind of officer watches in the Swiss Army watches category namely a pocket watch and a wrist watch. The classic officers watch was meant to be kept in the pocket and not for the wrist. It was designed in a simple way but still it was hardy and resilient. This is a regular feature in most Swiss Army products.

The Swiss Army officers knife is sort of a multipurpose tool but in contrast to it, an officers watch has minimum functions. It is a plain time piece, yet, it has a charm that doesnt go unnoticed.

What makes the Swiss Army Officers watch very unusual is that even in the times when flashy watches sell like hot cakes, it is still considered classy and has a standardof its own. It is a evergreen watch which is considered chic even today.

Initially the Swiss Army watch was not supposed to be a fashion supplement. The focus of its creation was to have something simple and easy to use and to be able to use it in toughest of conditions. This Swiss Army watch is a gadget that can be used in battles.

Although people today are seen wearing a Swiss army officers watch as a fashion statement and for its standard, it was only worn by the people associated with the army. However, with time these watches got exported to the American army and that stimulated the huge commercial success of Swiss army watch.

There is sort of a charm in the Swiss Army tag that appeals the people even when these products are circumvented by other more appeling products. Actually people trust the brand a lot because its been there for ages. If a product belongs to this brand, you can be assured about its quality and functioning.

For many people today selecting a Swiss army officers watch is a choice based on the quality of the product. This by far is the unique selling preposition of anything that sports the name of Swiss army.

With respect to its design, anyone who prefers clean, simple and an elegant look is bound to be blown away by a Swiss army officers watch.

Outdoor Plant Indoors

By Kent Higgins

Storing soil, sand and peat for the winter - Before frost gets into the ground, dig a bushel or two of soil for use during the winter. And don't forget to have on hand a bushel of sand and another of peat or humus.

Planting roses - Fall planting of roses is a risky business in parts of the Middle West north of the latitude of Springfield, Illinois, and Columbus, Ohio. South of this line planting has more chance of success; but the sooner it's done, the better.

Providing surface drainage for the Power beds - Now, while the ground is still workable, is the time to provide surface drainage for the perennial and bulb beds. Dig shallow trenches along the beds to carry away surface water.

Protecting plants in the coldframe - For pansies, forget-me-nots, English daisies and other plants now is a critical time for wintering in the coldframe. Do not put the sash on the frame until average temperatures stay below freezing. And cover the glass so that temperatures don't rise excessively in the frame.

Planting peonies - Although it is late, peonies can still be planted during the first two weeks of the month.

Forcing bulbs for Christmas bloom - As soon as possible bulbs for Christmas flowering should be planted. The one exception is paper-white narcissus, which should be started about eight weeks before it is to flower.

Top-dressing lilies-of-the-valley - All too often lilies-of-the-valley are left to run wild. Top-dress the planting now with old manure, leafmold or well-rotted compost.

Sowing rye in the vegetable garden - As each row in the vegetable garden is harvested, sow seed of winter rye. It will grow in near-freezing weather and will take up plant food in the soil that would otherwise be lost through leaching. In the spring the rye can be turned under.

Spraying house plants - Before bringing in house plants like rhoeo plant from the garden, spray them with a good all-purpose insecticide to kill aphids, mealy bugs arid other pests.

Storing four-o'clocks - Old-fashioned four-o'clocks can be stored for the winter. The lifted roots are handled as dahlias are. After being reset in spring, the plants will grow larger and flower earlier than those grown the same season from seed.

5 Fun Ideas for Girls Christmas Gifts

By Ellie Evergreen

One of the concerns that parents will face this year is purchasing toys for girls. They have a different set of toys and items that they would like to get and they won't always be as straightforward as boy's toys. Fortunately there will be indicators that will help you find great items for the girls in your family. The main thing is to keep up with trends as well as look for perennial girl's gifts. This way you will cover all the bases and your daughter can keep up with the rest of her friends. Here are some suggestions to help guide you as you pick Christmas presents for the little women in your family.

Dolls are a reliable gift choice. There are few little girls out there that do not want a doll. This can also be the most cost effective one depending on brand and accessories. The most popular brand has and will likely be for a long time Barbie. However, if you get a Barbie be prepared to get the accessories too. This is where the majority of the cost is going to be. This will be true, especially if you spring for the house and car. However Barbie is not the only doll out there. Other popular brands are Bratz dolls and Polly pocket for those who like the mini dolls. There are also babie doll toys. When shopping for dolls pay close attention to your children's wish list and have them point out in a catalog what they are looking for.

Another popular Christmas item will be dress up sets. There is nothing a girl loves more than dressing up, especially as her favorite characters. In recent times the big thing for little girls has been the Disney princesses lineup. The company has been smart in selling costumes and accessories that help little girls dress up like their favorite characters. However you don't have to go name brand if you shop around at your local toy store you should be able to find cheap alternatives that your daughter can have fun with and not bust your budget.

Since girls like to pretend dressing up you know pretending having their own household is another favorite pastime. This means toy kitchen and home sets. While these may sound expensive it is not as bad as you might think. A pretty decent kitchen set can cost anything from $50 to over $100 so it is not too much of a strain on your budget. Make sure to research non electric ones for younger children since these should be much safer and less likely to cause injury

The more elusive gifts will actually trendy items tied to popular TV shows and movies. I have already mentioned the Disney princess line of items which could be anything from the movies to lip gloss and dress up items. The same goes for Hannah Montana which includes a fashion line, make up kit, manicure kit, wigs, costumes, dolls and DVDs. If you see it being advertised then there is a high likelihood your daughter wants it look around in your local superstore and toy store to see what is being offered and budget accordingly. You can also add something special to the presents such as a special call from Santa which you can order at certain stores online.

Looking For A Wonderful Motion Picture? Check Out These Good Motion Picture Commentaries

By Jacques Robinson

It's fun to exchange opinions on favorite movies and favorite actors. Each person has an opinion and none is more right or wrong but everybody has their own favorites that they like. Some actors astound us with their enormous talent, some actors are pretty to look at and then of course some are both of those things. At times we admire an actor more for what he does away from the movie set as for what they do onscreen because some actors are just remarkable people who use their fame and fortune to aid others who are less fortunate throughout the world. Check out these great films below.

Number One with a Bullet - Carradine and Williams do well in this fairly average action motion picture where we have hostile investigators out to oust a drug kingpin. Cast includes Robert Carradine, Billy Dee Williams, Valerie Bertinelli, Peter Graves, Doris Roberts, and Bobby DiCicco. (101 minutes, 1987)

The Beverly Hillbillies: This is a movie based on the 1960's TV series. When Jed Clampett fortuitously discovers oil on his farm land in Arkansas, he becomes an instant millionaire. He brings the whole Clampett kinfolk out to Beverly Hills. Being down-to-earth country folk they are victim to every cash hungry con artist in the big city.

High Crimes - Lawyer Claire Kubik has just been informed that her husband is not who she thinks he is. Tom Kubik is in fact Ron Chapman, and he is on trial in the military justice system for the murder of villagers in Latin America. Claire takes on the case but just what will she discover, as the facts are unraveled?

Ivan the Terrible: Continuation of the story of King Ivan IV, in which he takes on the boyars in a confrontation for power. Impressive dvd is just a hint underneath its predecessor, Banned by Stalin due to debatable illustration of Ivan's secret patrol, and not released till 1958. Cast includes Nikolai Cherkassov; Serafima Birman, Mikhail Nazvanov, Pavel Kadochnikov, and Andrei Abrikosov. (88 minutes, 1946)

Alfie - Well redone interpretation of Bill Naughton play he additionally authored. Caine is great as philandering Cockney playboy who is put in a very difficult situation. Cast includes Michael Caine, Shelley Winters, Millicent Marin, Julia Foster, Jane Asher, Shirley Anne Field, Graham Stark, and Murray Melvin. (114 minutes, 1966)

Our favorite movies and favorite actors and actresses may change from time to time. We may love them for their flair or for other reasons but now that we can download full length, high quality movies from the Internet instantly we don't have to miss any more of the movies that we want to see.

Pet Nutrition and Animal Chiropractic Care go Hand in Hand

By Louisa Resendes

Let me tell you about my cat named Pumpkin They offer nutritional advice and products and they're doing animal chiropractic for animal joint pain that will almost make you cry once you realize how much better your pets could and should be eating. He's an awesome pet; a member of the family really.

I've always been an animal lover so it bothered me tremendously that he didn't want anything to do with me most of the time. He ignored me all the time even though I made sure he never had a life free from pet pain. So I went on line and found an excellent resource on pet care and so on. They seemed to genuinely care about all kinds of animals including cats. It really is amazing what they're doing over at avafrick.com. She reminds me of some kind of pet whisperer.

I sent them an email about Pumpkin's cat problem and this is what they told me to do. They also had some very specific advice about the kind of nutrition Pumpkin would require going forward in his life's stages. It was a very rewarding visit to this website which turned out to be an animal lover's paradise. I was supposed to walk up to the cat once a day, give it a little scratch on its back (where it can't reach itself) and walk away. That's all, nothing else.

I was told to do this twice a day; once in the morning and then in the evening. I was told that the cat should start coming to me for more attention. And guess what! I can't get rid of him. He always wants to come around for a scratch now. They also suggested some ways to feel for abnormalities on his body and determine whether he could use some pet chiropractic care.

I've heard it said that dogs have masters and cats have staff. I agree with that more now than ever. Pumpkin really does expect a lot from me. He knows that he can have his itchy back scratched by me and I've noticed that now that he knows that he simply has this expectation that I, his slave, will accommodate him. I'm rather thrilled, personally, that all of my time investment is paying off finally with dividends and I owe it all to Ava Frick.

Paid to Be Trashy

By John Kirzno

It is 6 AM and while you are still sound asleep in bed, the men and women who work for the trash hauling companies have already been on the road close to an hour going from house to house emptying garbage cans and making their rounds to remove your trash.

Other than when we pay the monthly fee to have our garbage picked up almost right on our doorstep, most of us don't give much thought to the trash companies and the services they provide. Perhaps, we should.

These companies and their employees provide a very necessary service for each individual family and for our communities as well.

They not only provide bi-weekly and weekly pick up of our garbage thus helping to keep our homes and yards rodent and disease free, but these people sometimes work ten and twelve hour days in order to meet the needs of their customers.

Besides picking up the ordinary day to day trash, these companies provide a host of other services as well.

They furnish businesses and individuals with trash dumpsters and recycle bins and then pick up the trash and the recyclable goods and take care of them for us.

Many companies also will for a small extra fee pick up and recycle or dispose of your old furniture, electronics, compost and other items for you, saving you the time and effort of doing these things for yourself.

In some areas they haul away brush and even leaves. In others they take care of demolition waste from rebuilding projects or your self roofing job.

There are trash companies that take care of slaughter house waste. Others trash companies take care of industrial waste. Their businesses is trash and they are so good at their business that you don't even notice how efficiently they do their jobs.

Imagine what your life would be without them. With landfill sites now at premium, gone are the old days when families would load their garbage in the back of the truck or the car trunk and take it to the local dump.

If you had to drive to a landfill today you would be required to drive as much as 100 miles or more just to find a landfill.

Instead of taking a minute or two to set a trash can out by the road, you would, by necessity have to spend the better part of the day taking care of your trash. More than likely you could not afford to take that much time once or twice a week so your garbage would build up and attract rodents, and create a germ filled environment in your own house or yard.

Not to mention that you would have no way too haul those items to big to fit in your vehicle. Keeping your home neat and tidy would be difficult if not impossible.

Thankfully, you don't have to worry about such things. The men and women who work for the trash companies do all your worrying and hauling for you. Their job may be considered a trashy business but they are dedicated professionals and they and the trash company they work for are dedicated to giving you great service.

Chad Henne Steps Up for the Miami Dolphins

By Taylor Morris

The Miami Dolphins were the feel good story of the 2008 NFL season. The team finished with a 1-15 regular season record in 2007, and was written off as quite possibly the worst football team of the decade.

At the last minute, the Dolphins decided to sign Chad Pennington, a quarterback who had been released from the Jets just days before. And boy, are they happy they did.

With Chad Pennington out the rest of the season, the Dolphins season seems to be over before it really began. It's hard to win in the NFL when you have uncertainties at the QB position.

The QB is the most valuable position and when your starter goes down for the year, it could cripple your team for weeks and maybe the entire year. The Dolphins were already one of the worst passing teams in the NFL with their chosen starter. The Dolphins defense is in the lower half in the league but good against the run.

Unfortunately, things started out on a discouraging note for the Dolphins. Having lost by 12 points to the Falcons in Atlanta was a tough blow to the team, despite the fact that Atlanta was the favorite to win the game. The Dolphins had still hoped for a better result. No team wants to score 7 points in its season opener.

Somehow, the Dolphins have won their last two games, and Henne was brilliant in his week 5 match-up vs. the New York Jets. Chad Henne sure is lucky to have one of the best RB duos in the league with Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams. This absolutely helps take a ton of pressure off of him and open up some room.

The Dolphins won the division in 08', but New England's QB Tom Brady was out the entire year and New York Jets QB Brett Favre was also hurt in the second half of the season - now, the rest of the division has improved. The Dolphins have more questions then answers at this point.

The Dolphins' Week 2 match-up wasn't much better, as a disheartening loss during the last minutes of the game dropped the team to 0-2. The Colts are a tough opponent, but the Dolphins needed that win badly. Better luck next week perhaps?

The Selfish Ways of the Heene Family

By Peter Higgins

This has been a wacky week in the news world, thanks to the crazy story of the Heenes. It all started with a police report that stated that their youngest son Falcon had been flown away in a flying saucer that the family had built.

This saucer was filled with helium, and flying hundreds of feet (if not thousands) above the ground, being followed by the FAA and news helicopters alike. The nation watched the plight of this saucer on the edge of its seat, fearing the worst possible outcome for young Falcon.

A few hours later as the helium died down, the flying saucer came into a very surprisingly soft descent, landing on the ground but still leading authorities to believe that the worse was be to expected. Somehow, Falcon wasn't inside the balloon. Where was he? Hiding in the family's attic.

Shortly after this all occurred, the family decided to conduct an interview with CNN. While telling their story, Falcon had inadvertently told the camera that he was hiding because the parents had asked him to. This set off a chain of confusion and speculation about the entire incident.

Everything then took a turn for the worse and it became obvious that the entire incident was a staged one. The public had been taken for a ride by the Heene family.

The entire ordeal ran a cost of $2 million, and many are wondering if the Heenes should be criminally charged for this mess should the facts show that they were responsible for it.

Having cost the government and news organizations over 2 million dollars, any other crime that "stole" money from people would carry criminal charges.

Criminal charges are expected to be filed shortly, and with good reason. This behavior was fraudulent and deserves the appropriate punishment that typically goes with that behavior. I have to feel for the innocent kids for having a set of low life parents.

Common Air Conditioning Problems

By John Kirzno

In the months of the year where moderate temperatures are experienced you may not concern yourself with the working condition of the air conditioner. However when extreme weather patterns are experienced the functionality of the air conditioning unit becomes a major issue. During the hot summer months, there is nothing as irritating as being in a room without a functioning air conditioner. In an office environment, it is uncomfortable for both the employees and the customers. Indeed it can cost a company repeat business where first time customers fail to come back due to the discomfort suffered the first time. To avoid disappointment, it is important that you procure a good quality ac unit for use at home or the office. However, no matter the quality of the air conditioner one purchases the process of wear and tear must take place. Air systems suffer common problems, some of which are elaborated below.

Air failing to pass through the vents of the unitr is a very common problem. This will obviously have a disastrous effect on the air conditioning of the room. This failure could be because of a dirty filter. Excessive amounts of dirt may clog the airways in the filter and thereby block flow of air through the vents. Another common problem occurs when only hot air blows into the room. Any number of factors including a dirty filter may cause this to happen. Sometimes you may come home only to find that the entire air conditioning unit is not working. This sometimes occurs because of overheating of the compressor due to malfunctioning of the outside fan.

Bad wiring may also cause the ac unit to fail to work. Bad wiring will cause the circuit breaker to trip due to fuse overload. It may also cause an eruption of fire in some cases. Sometimes the system may fail to work due to the thermostat. The thermostat may fail because it is defective or due to poor installation. Other problems are specific to evaporative air conditioning systems. One of the major problems of evaporative units is the aspect of continuous cooling without regulation of temperature. Because of this, the room is either too hot or too cold for the occupants. Evaporative systems function by sucking in the warm air in your room and passing it over cool water and then releasing the moisture into your home. The releasing of excessive moisture in to your house has the effect of encouraging the growth of molds.

As stated above, evaporative systems generally perform cooling functions. They do not have the ability to heat your rooms. They have limited ability to function in humid conditions. With such an air conditioner, you are bound to suffer major discomfort when the weather becomes hot and humid. With these kinds of problems, it would be a prudent idea to change to another model. Unfortunately, the evaporative ac sytems have a problem of incompatibility with other models. For one the size of their ducts is usually larger than for most models. The drainage system also differs significantly.

Given the important role that air conditioners play in your life, it is prudent to have your air conditioner installed and serviced by experienced service providers who have a long history of dealing with such systems effectively.

What to Look For in An Electric Chair Lift

By Febbe Wallace

It's easy to see the benefits of an electric chair lift. It's therefore not surprising if you to think of buying one if you need it. It is quite likely though that you may not exactly know which features to look for. Before you buy your own chair, consider which features are best for you.

Functions of Your Chair Lift

Lifts are specifically designed to lift its occupants to a particular height and lower them again to the ground. It can contribute to the ease of movement of the elderly or those with medical conditions that impede movement. Patients and caregivers simply need to use a chair lift to facilitate getting up from a comfortable sitting position.

Look for a lift that functions and serves its purpose well. This means your electric chair should be able to help you get up safely with no risk of injury. Your chair should also be sturdy enough to withstand everyday use. Look for construction features such as the kind of wood used and how it is attached to the chair structure. Consider too how many springs are used and what kind of material is used for the exterior. Functionality and durability are your top considerations.

Other Features

There are also other features of an electric chair lift that you need to consider. Chairs aren't built for all sizes. You therefore need one that will fit both your height and weight. You might also be more comfortable being able to operate your chair from a specific side. Some chairs come with extra features like a massage function.

One other important feature consideration is the number of positions that an electric chair can take. This feature also determines how many motors your chair will have. A 2 position chair usually has one motor. Aside from lifting, it can also recline to a certain angle short of a full reclining position. In most cases, the footrest comes up when you make it recline.

Most chairs will have 3 positions, allowing for full reclining position. It also has one motor and a footrest that works together with the recliner. Both 2 and 3 position recliners can be set at any angle that falls within the scope of its full angle reclining position.

If you want greater flexibility, you can also choose a two motor chair. This chair can be reclined fully or at any angle. Its reclining control and foot rest control can also be operated separately.

Guarantees

There are many chairs and different brands to choose from. Before you pick your chair, do some comparison shopping online. Compare sites, brand prices, product features and extra client benefits so you get only the best deal possible.

Pick reputable brands. Aside from getting a very sturdy chair, you are also assured of having real warranties and prompt customer support.

You will never know how life-changing an electric wheel chair lift can be until you or a friend with physical disability has tried it. It is important though that you only get the best there is. Be a wise and careful electric chair shopper.
