Dilemna Between Memory Foam Mattresses and Toppers

By Josiah Jenkins

When your current mattress wears out and you're in the market for a new mattress, this is a great time to consider getting a memory foam mattress. One common question is whether you should buy a whole new memory foam mattress or just a memory foam topper for your current mattress. If your current mattress isn't too worn out, you might be able to get away with buying topper pad and just putting it over.

However, if your existing mattress is really worn out and is beginning to sag, you may need to buy a whole memory foam mattress. If it feels like you're lying in a hammock, that's the tell tale sign of a worn out mattress. Buying a topper pad for a sagging mattress won't do you any good.

Don't always opt for the cheapest option. There are a lot of cheap memory foam mattresses out there that may look like a steal but trust me, the quality is lacking and it will break down before you know it. If you don't have the money to buy a whole memory foam mattress, just opt for the topper which you can replace later on.

Memory foam mattresses are definitely the way to go because of several reasons. It will provide the ultimate comfort experience unlike anything you've felt before. It has long term health benefits by contouring your body and aligning your spine to make sure you're sleeping in a good posture.

When you are shopping for a memory foam mattress, make sure you do your homework. You should look at the memory foam and make sure it is dense and of high quality. Don't opt for discount memory foam mattresses or you may regret it.

The mattress thickness that you'll want is 5 inches. This will give you enough depth to experience the memory foam mattress feeling. You need at least that thickness to see the health benefits as well.

If you're planning to purchase a mattress over the internet, be sure you're buying from a reputable seller and make sure you don't get scammed. The problem with it is that you can't lie down on it to test it for yourself. What you read from the product description may differe greatly from the actual memory foam mattress you get shipped to you.

Take out your yellow pages, look up a memory foam mattress retailer and go into the store to take it for a test drive! Don't spend that much money with out doing your due diligence. You owe it to yourself and your sleep to be informed!
