How Hard It Is To Cook Mushrooms

Almost all housewives know how to cook. Not all of them, though, use cooking recipes, but they rather base their cooking on gut feelings. Maybe this is why restaurants are full every night.

There are meals such as cooking garlic mushrooms recipes, that almost everybody loves. However, if garlic makes you sick, you won't be able to enjoy the taste of this excellent meal. You can use onions, but the effect will be different.

The best mushrooms are the wild ones, but they are also the most dangerous ones. Over the past years, food scientists say that mushrooms have suffered genetic mutations, therefore you can get poisoned even if you pick only the good ones. It's better to buy farm mushrooms anyway.

Mushrooms are known to be a good completion of the main meals of the day. They are rich in vitamin D. Actually they are the only vegetable which provides this vitamin, essential for the human body.

Cook books with mushroom recipes are almost all over the place, in libraries, in bookstores, or even on the internet. Cooking sites can help housewives find new ways of cooking this delicious food. The additional ingredients can completely change the overall taste of a dish.

All mushrooms have to be thoroughly washed before cooking. This means that you need to take them one by one, and put them under a jet of water, until all dirt between the blades has been removed. Then you can let them stay in water for a few more minutes.

When cleaning mushrooms, a small, soft brush may be of great help. Running water is also a must, if you want to get rid of all small organisms that live on a mushroom. Sometimes, you'll need to peel the surface layer, because the dirt could be impossible to remove.

Cook the mushrooms very well. Eating them raw can make you sick. There are some restaurants which offer salads containing raw mushrooms, but I'm not sure that is a good idea. Besides, cooking kills part of the toxins, so do it well.

The simplest way to cook mushrooms is to fill them with small pieces of cheese and ham and put them in the oven at average temperature for 15 minutes. You'll know when they are ready, because they will start spreading the smell all over the kitchen.
