Wedding Traditions Advice

By Fisiwa Masu

Many wedding traditions exist around the world, some of which are very old which are still practiced to day but possibly the exact reason has been lost but that does not mean that new wedding traditions are not being created. One lovely wedding tradition is the wearing a tiara and is taken from ancient times where there was a white ribbon worn around the shoulders and head of a king, which signified his power and wealth. Like many of these traditions, the tiara has evolved from a very simple design to the way we see it today; made with expensive metals and gems of different types embedded into it.

If the wedding is truly traditional then the bridesmaids will also wear tiaras on their heads albeit smaller and less well adorned examples than that worn by the bride. There are now a number of wedding themes that are not complete without a tiara so it is not surprising how many brides will keep hold of this very special addition to a wedding outfit. Often the bride's attendants like bridesmaids, flower girls and maid of honor are presented with rings shaped like miniature tiaras which can make really beautiful wedding favors for those directly involved in the wedding.

Another old wedding tradition stated that wedding party members would escort the bride and groom to the place where they would start their honeymoon. The men would then try to retrieve the garter worn by the bride with the aim to either wear it on the hat they were wearing like a trophy or to present to their betrothed. This wedding tradition worked for a while but owing to the amount of drink that many of the male guests consumed, the bride often found herself being undressed for the garter so in an effort to stop this they would toss the garter into the crowd once the service was over.

The lucky man to catch the garter would be considered as the next person to marry but once again drunken behavior signaled many men to try and take the garter before the bride was ready to throw it too them. Once again it was necessary for a wedding custom to be changed so brides started too throw the bouquet of flowers to the ladies at the wedding instead which had the same meaning as the thrown garter. However, although it no longer has the same significance that it once did, tossing the garter to male members of the wedding has returned and many women feel very strongly about wearing the garter once again.

The garter should really be blue as a sign of good luck although this tradition has not really stuck as women often favor red garters nowadays. Just to keep up with the times it is not uncommon for the bride to allow the groom to remove the garter and then throw it over his shoulder to the male wedding guests. Although tradition says that the man who catches the garter will wed within the year, this fact is probably lost on many.

The Difference Between Fashion and Style

By Jayde Johannsen

Fashion isn't just about the clothes you purchase. You can't just throw down a credit car and expect to look like a million bucks. The average woman doesn't have a stylist or personal shopper to make them look glamorous. But remember this fact: most of the best fashion comes from young women poor on resources but rich on creativity. Let's face it; if a broke young girl in New York City can change the face of fashion, you can discover a new look all by yourself.

If your budget is stricter than that of the real housewives, or you're not a size zero, that's even more reason to learn to dress well. Living well is the best revenge, and showing the world that fashion isn't just the elite stomping grounds of a select few is a noble mission for many women. Furthermore, most of the ladies who are known today as tastemakers started out with very little money and still managed to impact the whole country with their distinct style. If that's not an encouraging reason to get going at dressing yourself better, then I simply don't know what is.

Get minimal. If there's less going on, there's less chances for you to make a fashion don't, after all. From artists to the women in charge of fashion houses, many of the world's best-dressed people who aren't looking for the spotlight opt for all-black when walking red carpets and dining at galas. The reason is that it's subdued, it's classy, and it's timeless. Wearing a simple black dress also means that it's easier to make it look as though you're in a completely different outfit by throwing on a different set of accessories and carrying a different bag.

As far as accessories go, less is definitely more. Also in the words of the always-brilliant Coco Chanel, if you're getting ready to go out, the last step to your outfit should be to look in the mirror and remove one accessory. You're a stylish woman, not a Christmas tree, and there's no reason to overdo it with hats, bracelets, necklaces, and loud handbags. Learn that less is more with accessorizing and your look will last that much longer.

Wear clothes that fit. Sometimes, self-concious people try to hide their size in clothing that's too big, while overly confident and optimistic ladies squeeze themselves into age-inappropriate gear that makes them resemble sausages. This is not how to do it, ladies. Dressing in clothes that fit your personal body type is the only way to go if you want to be stylish. Figuring out what shapes flatter your body means you'll get a whole lot more mileage out of your clothes, and most important, won't be cursing yourself when looking at old photos. Don't be a victim to the trends--wear what fits.

Take the time to look in the mirror and tell yourself that you look good. Who cares if you don't have the money for a designer bag or are making it work with last season's clothes? There's no reason to allow those tiny facts to change your view of how you look, or worse yet, taint the way you present yourself to the world.

Make it work with what you've got, and always stay confident. Style is about attitude, and if you have the right one, no one's going to notice what the label on your handbag or shoes says. Many style icons came from nothing, and if they can do it, you can, too.

After this sort of makeover of the mind, the whole world of style will open up to you in a way that it never did before. Not expecting to look in your closet and see limitless variations on your old wardrobe? It has been known to happen after thinking seriously about style. Even boring old shops with affordable clothes will look fresh once you're casting your fresh new gaze upon them. Use your new sense of style to create a look that reflects who you are to the rest of the world in a way that's hot and creative, and you'll be in for many happy experiences. There's no underestimating the power of fashion, after all.

How to Select a Double Glazing Company

By Martin Troughton

For both new construction projects and renovation efforts, double glaze windows are a critical focal point. They help to reduce energy costs while enhancing the building?s overall look and value. They can also improve building safety, since they will not break easily. In addition, new state and national energy assistance programs offer grants and rebates that help make double glaze windows affordable for everyone.

The most popular types of double glaze windows have a standard clear appearance. Other options, however, may include tinted or coated varieties, which allow for maximum flexibility in personalizing a home or work space. Tinting comes in an array of colors designed to complement and enhance the building?s appearance. Coating, on the other hand, creates a one-way mirror effect, which can be a valuable additional security feature.

Double glaze windows come in a variety of styles that differ based on overall unit thickness, glass pane thickness and types of glass used. The glazes themselves also come in several options, which help determine how efficiently the window unit is able to limit radiation, condensation and heat emissions.

Selecting the cheapest double glaze company may be the best option when price is the biggest factor. Buying in bulk and choosing repeat business with the same company will often result in deep discounts. When long-term overall effectiveness is the issue, however, it pays to research the company in terms of product reputation and customer recommendations. For customers with an eye on both quality and budget, financial assistance programs may be available for qualifying renovation projects, which can also reduce out-of-pocket expenses.

Most double glazing companies offer options for both amateur undertakings and hired installation. Many companies also provide personalized input to help decide which window option is best for each specific project. Some companies offer custom fit and window designs, while others may only preset glass dimensions.

For new construction opportunities, double glaze windows are ideal. The reduced energy costs they provide make them highly sought after for both small and large projects. Since double glaze windows also immediately increase the building?s overall value, they make excellent choices for renovation projects. Double glaze windows also offer an extra layer of building protection, since they have their own locking systems and are not easy to break.

The standard clear variety is the most commonly purchased style of double glaze windows. However, there are other options available, such as coated or tinted windows. These varieties provide maximum flexibility in personalizing the appearance of the building space. Coating creates the effect of a one-way mirror, which can be a desirable added security feature. Tinting, on the other hand, is available in an array of colors, which can be used to enhance and complement many different architectural styles.

Finding the right double glaze company for the project depends on which factors are most important to achieve construction goals. When the lowest cost is the objective, the cheapest company may be the best option. In addition, some manufacturers offer rebates for first-time customers or those are buying more than one window at a time. Regardless of cost, however, choosing a company with a top-rated product reputation and comprehensive warranty policy will generally prove to be the best benefit.

Why Dog Training is Important for You and Your Dog

By Don De Good

Are you worried that training you dog will break the bond that you two have established? Do you just accept the fact that you have to keep your dog locked up because of aggressive behavior toward visitors, including your four year old's friends? Do you also accept the aggravating howling and moaning when you take your dog for a walk? Is all of this really acceptable behavior for a dog? I'm afraid not. I have to tell you that even dogs have an expectation of being civilized. The people tolerating your dog's shenanigansdo not share your opinion that it's cute when he climbs all over them, or damages doors.

You might think you do not want to exercise the sort of authority required to tell him to behave any better, and that's all quite all right really. Being the owner of a dog doesn't require you to suddenly transform into a whip swinging ring master and you are right in denouncing the pathetic idea of establishing who the boss is when dealing with an animal.

Where you are wrong, however, is in your basic understanding of dog training. You need to realize that training your dog is not about proving how much better you are than it, you are not trying to teach it 'human rules' and thereby attempting to make it more 'human', training is not a method of 'humanizing' a dog. What it is, in fact, is a way of improving the relationship you share with your pet, and of course a means of making it more sociable.

"Why is this important?" you're asking. So, this is why you should be concerned with training your dog. The vast majority of our days are spent behind a desk, pouring over balance sheets, drinking cup after cup of coffee. With our very limited free time, we have to blend time with family, pets, and gathering with friends. After a long day at work, we may spend a pleasant evening walking leisurely through the park, or accept an invitation for a movie at a friend's home. If your dog has trouble being around people, you will leave it home, and, more and more, you and your dog are spending little or no time together at all.

Much like us, animals experience feelings of sadness, loneliness, and depression when they aren't getting any attention from you and being left to sit alone in the dark most nights.

So, it seems that your avoidance of training your dog has actually isolated your pet, and kept them from taking part in pursuits that would build your bond together.

Dogs who have advanced through obedience training are better able to cope with their immediate environment. A trained dog is a happy dog! Dogs who are trained have balance in their lives that is good for them, and makes them easier to live with as well. Give your beloved dog the gift of your friendship. Train your pet so that it can go along for fun regardless of where you are going or who will be there.

So, prove to your dog that you truly care by taking it out for obedience training today. Once they understand the magic words: heel, stay, sit, come, down, you and your best buddy will be inseparable. Happy training!

Auctioned RVs -Alternative To Buying Affordable RVs

By Kent Raggity

Looking for a nice RV or a trailer where you can retire and roam around? They are relatively easy to find. you can spot them at the newspapers or even the directory.

But sometimes, RVs and trailers that are featured in classifieds and posters do not come cheap. If you are on a strict budget, you might have a hard time making your choice. Fortunately, there are better ways where you can have your RV, or for any vehicle for that matter, at a low price.

Have you ever heard of auction? You know how auction works right? You bid for something until you or the other bidders can top the price of the last bidder. Perhaps you will find your RV or trailer in an auction.

There are many things you'll find in an auction. RV trailers are no different. Auctions gives you a wide selection of items, something you do not experience in showrooms and salvage yards. Flexibility is also something auctions offer you. You can bid as long as you feel your budget allows the price.

You also do not need to worry whether an item up for auction may have some defects or irregularities. Owners and the auctioning company see to it that the item they sell are in their top condition so as to attract possible buyers. Without a doubt, auctions are great places to look for RVs and trailers.

The purpose of having an auction is to sell an item as quickly as possible. You must also understand that bidders, though they try to top the price of the other, tend to really spend as little as their finances allow. The ones holding an auction just make small money out ofth event.

If you feel that you will find that RV or trailer in an auction, then have a go-see. If you want to be informed in advance, just get hold of your local auctioning agencies and they be more than happy to let you know of anything is up. You can also try the Sheriff's and Marshall's Offices, foreclosure and repo sales to learn more about their possible items.
